Queensland Water Commission Securing our water together

Water restrictions

Target 170 and High Level Restrictions start 31 July 2008.

Where do restrictions apply?

Councils affected by High Level Restrictions include Brisbane City, Ipswich City, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Logan City, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Scenic Rim Regional Council and Somerset Regional Council.

From 15 March 2008, a number of Councils have amalgamated and had boundary and name changes. This does not impact the application of water restrictions.

There is a temporary relaxation of restrictions on outdoor water use for Gold Coast residents while the Hinze Dam is at capactiy. Read more about the relaxation.
