SEQ water consumption rises

Average daily residential water consumption across South East Queensland for the 14 day period ending 15 February 2012 rose slightly to 162 litres per person, Queensland Water Commission (QWC) figures show.
QWC General Manager, Regional Planning and Policy, Abel Immaraj said this compared with an average daily consumption of 158 litres per person for the last reported 14 day period ending 8 February 2012.
In Central SEQ, average daily consumption for the fortnight ending 15 February 2012 was 145 litres per person, rising from 141 litres per person for the fortnight ending 8 February 2012.
On the Gold Coast, average daily consumption for the fortnight ending 15 February 2012 was 193 litres per person, up slightly from 191 litres per person for the fortnight ending 8 February 2012.
Redland's average daily consumption for the fortnight ending 15 February 2012 was 192 litres per person, an increase from 182 litres per person for the fortnight ending 8 February 2012.
Scenic Rim's average daily consumption for the fortnight ending 15 February 2012 was 157 litres per person, up from 152 litres per person for the fortnight ending 8 February 2012.
Sunshine Coast's average daily consumption for the fortnight ending 15 February 2012 was again unchanged at 196 litres per person.
