Sunshine Coast consumption was 173 litres per person per day, down from last week's 181-litre average.

The Gold Coast's average daily consumption was 179 litres, an increase from last week's 168-litre figure.

Under Permanent Water Conservation Measures:

  • Gardens and lawns cannot be watered between 10am and 4pm when evaporation is at its highest.
  • Outside these hours, gardens and lawns can be watered using a hand-held trigger nozzle hose or an efficient irrigation system defined in the guidelines.
  • Efficient methods such as a hand-held trigger nozzle hose or high pressure cleaner should be used to clean vehicles, buildings and equipment.
  • New swimming pools and spas may be filled with reticulated (town) water, but efficiency measures continue to apply when topping up pools and spas.

Further information about Permanent Water Conservation Measures and previous consumption levels is available online at http://www.qwc.qld.gov.au/
