Drought exit strategy
The Queensland Water Commission has adopted a safe and secure Drought Exit Strategy which outlines an easing of general restrictions as the drought breaks. The exit strategy identifies the combined dam levels that must be reached by South East Queensland's main dams (Wivenhoe, Somerset, North Pine), before restrictions are eased.

The strategy is based on assessments of our water security outlook and designed with staged restrictions and water saving targets.
