Petroleum industry levy to support the QWC's coal seam gas functions
The Water Act 2000 provides that the QWC’s new CSG functions are to be funded by a levy on petroleum tenure holders.
A Regulatory Assessment Statement (PDF, 462K)* process concerning options for the structure of the levy was completed in October 2011.
When the structure of the levy is finalised it will be implemented by amending the Water Regulation 2002.
