Western Corridor Recycled Water Project
The Western Corridor Recycled Water Project will:
- Involve construction of more than 200 kilometres of large-diameter underground pipeline, reaching from Luggage Point on Brisbane's east to Caboonbah north-west of Ipswich
- Involve the construction of three advanced water treatment plants at Bundamba, Luggage Point and Gibson Island
- Supply purified recycled water to power stations, industry and agriculture, as well as Wivenhoe Dam
- Have the capacity to supply up to 232 million litres of purified recycled water per day
- Be completed in late 2008.
