Target 170

Because of recent rainfall, increasing dam levels and your continued commitment to water saving, we can cautiously step back from Level 6 water restrictions to High Level Restrictions. We're asking residents to Target 170 litres per person a day, but use only what you need.

Residential consumption

Residential daily consumption figures are calculated on a weekly basis using local council water usage data:

• each SEQ council provides bulk water supply data to the Commission
• data is collated to derive an average daily regional figure (including residential and non-residential use)
• the non-residential sector's consumption is then deducted
• an average daily per person water consumption is then derived using population figures.
