Securing our water together
Southern Regional Water Pipeline
The pipeline will:
- Provide bulk fresh water supply network between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, linking the major councils of Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Beaudesert, and the Gold Coast
- Be approximately 100 km long
- Be built with reverse flow capacity to ensure that water can be distributed to the most drought affected areas
- Have the capacity to provide 130 ML water per day
- Be completed in late 2008
