Business Water Efficiency Program
The Queensland Government established the Business Water Efficiency Program (BWEP) to help businesses and industry in South East Queensland save water by adopting sustainable water use practices. The State allocated $40 million to BWEP for South East Queensland and another $15 million for regional Queensland.
Due to the overwhelming response to the Business Water Efficiency Program in South East Queensland, the program funding of $40 million has now been fully committed to water efficiency projects. Eligible applications that have not yet been approved will only be funded if funds become available due to previously approved applications being withdrawn or projects not being completed on time.
BWEP applications from businesses in regional Queensland are now open and regional Queensland businesses are encouraged to apply. Round Two subsidy applications close at 5pm, 13 June 2008. Rebate applications will be processed outside the round and will be assessed on receipt.
